How to Use Online Clips for Educational Purposes Within the Classroom Setup

One of the ways in which the modern teacher can enrich his or her students’ learning experience is through the use of multimedia materials, such as online clips. This is to say, in other words, that online clips can be used for educational purposes within the classroom setup.

One method through which online clips can be used for educational purposes within the classroom setup is the one where the clips are downloaded by the teacher, loaded onto a projector, and then played in class.

Another method through which online clips can be used for educational purposes within the classroom setup is the one where the students are given an assignment to watch the clips on their own (at home). Then, on the next day, a discussion is held around the clips’ contents. This approach is quite good, as it prepares the students for future learning models, which will probably take place online, through things such as massive online open courses – such as those on Coursera.

Yet another method through which online clips can be used for educational purposes within the classroom setup is the one where the teacher simply watches the clips by himself or herself, and then uses what he or she learns from the clips to prepare better lessons for the students. Under this model the students don’t actually have any personal interactions with the online clips — only the teacher does.
